TEMPORAL : The Art of Stephan Doitschinoff (aka Calma)

ABOUT THE FILM:
From 2005—2008, Stephan Doitschinoff traveled throughout the Brazilian countryside of Bahia, painting site-specific murals on adobe houses, chapels, and even a cemetery. In the small village of Lençóis, he collaborated with local artisans, and expanded his research into the rich history of Brazilian folklore and the syncretism between Christian theology and African spiritual traditions.

Exit Through The Gift Shop - A Banksy Film - Trailer

He started out by spraying his provocative images onto walls and under bridges in the middle of the night, leaving the public to puzzle over them in the morning.

People liked his work so much that he began selling it at exhibitions, where he soon attracted celebrity buyers including Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Then he published a book of his collected work, copies of which now adorn countless British coffee tables.

Now, the graffiti artist Banksy is to take the commercialisation of his street art to the next level, directing a feature-length film which will make its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on Sunday.

SWEATSHOPPE - The Landing

In an effort to establish new platforms for public art and performance, the multimedia duo SWEATSHOPPE has developed a new interactive technology that enables them to explore the relationship between video, mark making and architecture. Dubbed "video painting", this technology allows them to essentially "paint" video onto any surface. Shooting in Queens, Brooklyn, and Manhattan, the duo spent weeks documenting their work in urban settings to create "The Landing" the first in a series of episodes that showcases their work as artist, technologist and performers. This video shows 4 full uncut extra clips form the landing.
